| Why did you like that piece? : | We tend to like the more melodic pieces. The story behind this piece is sad but the music itself is beautiful and a lovely and uplifting tribute by the composer. We love to hear Geoff talk about the music. We always learn so much. It is also a joy to watch the players enjoy the pieces they are playing. As an audience we feel we are right there with them. |
| Were there any other pieces that came a close second?: | Apotheosis of this Earth Tragedy or Destruction Incredible! Completely different to anything we’ve heard before and I imagine extremely difficult to play. We enjoyed the complete contrast of sound the symphony is able to produce.Exultate Introduced the liveliness of the second half. Back to what we know and love. |
| What would you say to someone thinking about coming to CWS for the first time?: | Come, relax and enjoy a fantastic variety of music. Canberra Wind Symphony are superb in every way. Entertaining and uplifting. A great afternoon or night out to share with friends. |
